HISTORY
I was raised in Fieldbrook, attended McKinleyville High School and graduated from the University of California at Davis with High Honors in 1992. I received my law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles where I was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Constitutional Law, served as Articles Editor for the Pacific Basin Law Journal and was a member of the Business Law Association.
Upon graduation, I joined the Silicon Valley law firm of Fenwick & West LLP as an associate where I represented a wide array of companies from small startups to Fortune 500 companies. In the year 2000, I left Fenwick & West to join Speedera Networks, Inc., one of my technology company clients, where I first served as corporate counsel and then as General Counsel until I left in July of 2003 to return to Humboldt County. My home is once again in Fieldbrook and I am very excited to be in McKinleyville and serving the legal needs of this great community.
